Insight:
Several sea creatures require shells to keep them safe. Such
as the Sea Turtle, Hermit Crab, Lobster, and a Snow King Crab. These creatures
need these shells to keep them safe from their enemies. That’s the same things
for us as human beings. There are 2 different types of shells that we wear on
our backs. The first one is the shell of your comfort zone. This shell is there
because you are comfortable where you are and you are afraid of change. The
second one is the shell of protection. This shell just as the creatures I
mentioned earlier is there to protect you from the enemy. You should only have
one shell that you should be wearing and that is the shell of protection.
Devotion:
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your
stand against the devils schemes.”– Ephesians 6:11
Are you stuck in a place where you cannot get out? Think
about what your life would be like in 5 years if you stayed stuck. Have you
thought about it? Fantastic! Now is this where you want your life to be at
forever. Often throughout our lives we have many chances to change and because
we like the way our life is at that point we tend to stray away from it. This
is called being too comfortable without trusting in God to guide us through
this change. We as humans are often scared of change and are scared that there
will be no protection after the change is made. The devil is out to kill, to
steal, and to destroy anything that God has laid out for us. When this happens you
need to suit up and put on the full armor of God and declare that Satan has no
power or dominion over your life and declare that Jesus is with you every step
of the way. Step out and have faith. God will see you through it. One step at a
time.
Prayer:
Our gracious and heavenly father, I pray for your full
protection over my life today and forevermore. I am asking for your help to
help me to step out of my comfort zone and walk in the path that you have paved
for me. I come against the enemy in your name that any weapon formed against me
shall prosper in your name Jesus. I thank you for the new life that you have
given me. Thank you an in Jesus name I do pray, Amen.
